It’s been snowing off and on here the last couple of weeks. With heavy snow comes the end of easy group camping. To camp during the winter here, you really need to have to proper equipment and know-how to stay warm and have fun. To celebrate the end of fall we headed south to Moab with a group of our friends from church. During the day the weather was great: clear and warm. The big group split up during the day with one group hiking to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, another group checked out the local 4×4 trails which Moab is known for, and another group (our group) checked out Canyonlands National Park.

At night the temperatures plummeted due to a cold front that moved in on us. The first evening was warm enough for a moon-lit night hike. We would wake up both mornings with ice everywhere. The cold weather encouraged everyone to spend most of their evening around the fire for warmth. We had a blast hanging out and joking with one another as we shared the adventures of the day with one another. We really love to camp with friends. Check out the photos!

Come out and visit us. We’ll go camping while we show you the beauty of Moab and the Rocky Mountains.
